Every component of the MyStudentBody program has been scientifically developed and tested for efficacy through NIH-funded field trials. MyStudentBody has received more NIH funding and has been the subject of more randomized, controlled research studies than any other online college health program. Here are some of the findings:

MyStudentBody is effective:
• Persistent heavy binge drinkers who used MyStudentBody-Alcohol evidence a more rapid decrease in average consumption and peak consumption compared to controls.
• Students using MyStudentBody-Sexual Health are three times more likely to have protected sex with any partner compared to controls.
• Students using MyStudentBody-Nutrition increase their fruit and vegetable intake, motivation to change unhealthy eating behaviors, social support, and self-efficacy for dietary change.
• MyStudentBody-Tobacco helped reduce smoking in students who smoke more than 40 cigarettes per week and prevented lighter smokers (less than 10 cigarettes a week) from increasing their intake.
• Students using MyStudentBody-Stress are significantly more likely to increase their weekly level of light to moderate physical activity and use specific methods to control their stress.

MyStudentBody appeals to students:
• 80% rated MyStudentBody-Tobacco more effective than typical tobacco education.
• 88% rated MyStudentBody-Alcohol as very or extremely successful in addressing college health issues.
• 85% of students and 90% staff indicate “very” to “extremely” high satisfaction with MyStudentBody-Sexual Health.

You are welcome to review details on the findings from MyStudentBody field trials and related research. If you have any questions or are interested in conducting further research on MyStudentBody, please feel free to contact us.
